有報導好像 db4o 比較快哩，不過我目前都只拿他來當作嵌入式的資料庫，如 client 端上的使用，也沒用到Server 上 :p

我建議你不要太在意網路上的效能比較, 因為這些 micro benchmark 比較都是不真實的..
每個系統都有自己的弱點, 重點是你實際應用的環境是否會剛好使用了這些弱點, 而且沒有辦法避開..

效能絕對重要, 但要先把你的服務與環境都準備好, 也知道自己的調校目標, 才能夠開始量測與找問題..
若其實都還沒開始動手, 我建議就先從最有彈性的系統開始吧~~

實際上的「系統效能」是取決於很多部分的
像是 DB、硬體、網路等諸多方面
一次解決一種問題，才能逐步增進整體系統效能
因為一次太多變數，調整過後可能會有相反的效果
